Outstanding work by Jonathan Kobz and team. Top-tier service and communication.
Outstanding Advocacy from Jonathan and the Apex Adjusting Team Our tenant-occupied home suffered a devastating fire that started in the garage. When the AAA adjuster arrived, he used a moisture meter and claimed there was “no moisture in the walls,” suggesting we could simply redo the garage and upstairs, paint the downstairs, and settle the claim in a week. I knew this was completely inadequate — the fire department had sprayed over 10,000 gallons of water into the attic, and the house was not safe to re-rent. I left the meeting feeling defeated.
I was very pleased working with Apex Adjusting Group, especially with Roman. He is very thorough and is able to get results. 10 out of 10!!

Starting with Apex Adjusting Group
A new claim at Apex Adjusting Group in San Jose starts with a free claim review, which its website names as the first step. The office answers from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the week. On fire claims, the company says it often responds within 24 hours of the first call.
The firm describes itself as a team of public adjusters for insurance claims. It says it explains the policy to the owner and takes over all contact with the insurer. Fees are contingency based, and the website states there is no fee without a recovery.
San Jose had 989,814 residents in 2025, per the Census Bureau. The city sits in Santa Clara County. NOAA normals for 1991 to 2020 put its mean temperature at 59.1°F, with an average high of 69.5°F and an average low of 48.6°F.
Earthquake, water and fire claims
Once a claim is open, the company lists earthquake damage, water losses such as pipe bursts and sewage backup, and fire, smoke and soot damage among its work. It reports licences in several states, including Nevada, California and Arizona. For fire losses, it describes a process that runs from assessment and claim preparation to direct negotiation with the insurer.
The business holds a 5.0 rating from 28 Google reviews. Reviewers most often mention quick replies and patient answers to their questions. Several describe settlements larger than the first offer on fire and water claims.
A new client should have a copy of the property insurance policy ready, since the firm says it walks owners through that policy before dealing with the insurer.
